My given name is Ricardo; however I am commonly adressed by the moniker Richi. I’m a Film Director, Producer and Editor. I was born in Ecuador in the year 1991. Where I pursued my academic interests in the field of Advertising working with brands as Budweiser and Nespresso. Subsequently, in the year 2018, I undertook a Master’s Degree in Film Direction at the prestigious Escola de Cinema de Barcelona, located in the spanish city where I presently reside. My experimental short film “Why does Lisa cut her hair?” (2017), has received critical aclaims including being selected as a winner at festivals such as the Beveren International Short Film Festival in Belgium and the Berlin Independent Film Festival in Germany. My style is focused on capturing the stories and pulse of vibrant youth culture and urban focused issues. My work seeks to combine intimacy, surrealism and lyricism in a striking vision.
